Welcome to my website!
I am Professor of Economics at Washington State University, where I work since 2008.
I am also Co-Editor-in-Chief of Economics of Governance (Springer), Editor-in-Chief of the Lecture Notes in Economics and Policy book series (World Scientific Publishers), and Associate Editor at Economic Inquiry (Wiley) and at Environmental and Development Economics (Cambridge).
My research focuses on Industrial Organization, with applications to regulated markets, including polluting industries, natural resource management, and sustainability.
I analyze how firms strategically respond to environmental regulation, such as their production and pricing decisions; whether to submit a merger request; their investments in clean technologies. I also study contexts where firms’ profits actually increase from environmental policy, both under complete and incomplete information contexts.
